Bitumen 70-60

Infiltrating bitumens or road grade, which are mostly used for asphalt production in the road construction industry, are obtained by performing an aeration process on the distillation tower residue, known as vacuum bottoms.
This bitumen with a permeability of 60-70 has a penetration degree of 6 to 7 mm and a softening point between 49 and 52. Bitumen with a semi-hard permeability degree and as a heavy bitumen suitable for use mainly in the production of hot asphalt for surface coating.
This bitumen can be offered to customers in different packaging, including standard export barrels in multiple kilograms, jumbo bag packaging, and bulk packaging.

 Specifications

The application and quality of 70-60 bitumen depends on its properties and specifications. Apart from the permeability test, there are a number of other tests that are used to determine the quality of 70-60 bitumen, including viscosity, softening point, ductility, heat loss and flash point. According to ASTM D36 method, the softening point of 60/70 bitumen is between 49 and 52 degrees Celsius and the flash point of 60-70 bitumen is 250 degrees Celsius.
