One of the new types of bitumen produced by Kia Gostar Ahura Shargh Company is performance bitumen, known as PG bitumen.In PG bitumens, separation and classification are based on understanding the behavior of bitumen and its performance characteristics, so that in this classification, different characteristics against cracking and deformation due to cold and heat and fatigue are taken into account, and the prediction of bitumen hardening at the factory site and during asphalt preparation is taken into account. Also, the amount of traffic and the passage of time and the speed of loading on the road are considered. PG bitumen is a performance bitumen, this bitumen, which is graded based on its performance at different temperatures, is classified and used based on two factors: traffic and pavement temperature.
